How do you know if your car was programmed or changed computer?
i have a 98 firebird and what i have noticed is when i put 87 octane gas it has a very stiff pedal and does not accelerate as fast, but when i put in 93 octane the car runs great and the pedal feels perfect, i purchased the car from someone else who did not really know anything and his son is the one who worked on the car, so im thinking they may of have programmed the car or changed something cause the gas problem just isnt right.
can someone tell me how to check it? or what to do?

Buy Hptuners and download the file and compare it to another stock file to see if there are any changes done to it.
