I have a 2.5in. cutout----> 2.5 in. universal fit catco ----> 2.75 I-pipe and stock muffler off a lt1.

Sounds freaking sweet alot better then my flowmaster did, when it is capped. Soooooooo.... much quieter and liveable then my last setup but about as loud as my flowmaster.

My cutout is working as planned.... with it capped my car does go slower then it did with my old setup but with cutout open it runs slow do to lack of backpressure.... exaclty what I wanted it to do I am going to make different types of block off plates for drag race or auto cross setups and run clsoed cutou for the street.

I was worried about messing with my exhaust and making my car slwoer(the whol why mess up a good thing) but now I am happy since I cna better fine tune it to how I want the backpressure to work.

hey eric you gotta let me hear your setup sometime. i've been thinking about a cut-out, but never heard one in person. are you going to that meeting on jan 4th?

I am thining about it I gotta see how work is...

But ahead of tiem I have run many setups before similar to a cutout... Its sounds mean as hell but the problem is its ungodly loud... I am talking like radio full blast you have a hard time hearing it loud.

With this setup though I am going to need ot do some testing and tuning with some differnet size block off plates.

I jsut needed something that was alot more legal, and adjustable between street and race setup... my old setup was quiter then open exhaust but still very loud and a huge cop magnet.
