I've heard of them being very raspy when accelerating, and if this is the kind of cracking you mean(Flows)... its normal

Add a resonator in the intermediate pipe behind the cat. Or change out the muffler. Dynomax are known to be quieter than most.

yep. v6 is going to be raspy. you cant rid of all of the popping. you can get rid of most of it but not all of it.

a resonator should help get rid of most of it.

do you still have a cat on it? if not, put it back on and the sound quality will increase trememdously. personally, i love the flowmaster on my 3.4.. ive had it at least 4 yrs now and it still sounds freakin sweet... i have a hi flow cat on it and it sounds almost as good at 6k as it does idling. with the cat off htough, my car sounded like *** above 3.5k or so... even worse when decelerating in gear.

Flowmaster sounds great when you have headers, and 3 inch all the way back.. And for the poping and rasp the V8's have it too..

My magnaflow with ditched cat and headers sound better then the flowmaster that was on it previously. I had flowmaster on my v6 it was ok, but i want the flow rates of the magnaflow on the 8.

Ugh! Dynomax will make your car sound like an all out ricer. My freind has Dynomax on his 01'. Sounds like a pissed off bee trapped in a can.
