TOO much Rasp?? (vid)

Hey i just got my exhaust done, or not really done, took apart. Got my muffler taken off with just pipes into two tips. It sounds nice, until like 4000 rpm, is this too much rasp, or is it about wut any flowmaster will sound like?

sounds good, no need to be revving it much past 4k on the streets anyways, so its no big deal

sounds good man. the rasp is the nature of the beast your gonna have it. theres no way around it, you can tame it but never get rid of it.

but im confused, is that with the flowmaster on or off? if it is then which setup the 2.5 v6 exhuast or the 3in v8?

try running a can of Sea Foam thru your system, that might help to clear it up a bit.

yes. and it also burns up carb deposits in exhaust which can cause a "rasp" like sound and poping as well.

oo alritee well if thats the case i guess i should do that can i run it thru the vacuum?>??? but btw the exhaust sounds great how much did u pay to get it done cuz my magnaflow cat back is tooo quiet i need some help wit that

yep, vac. on the TB, HOWEVER! A spark plug change is should be done after running SEA FOAM. Those carbon deposits will end up on them. That is internal carbon, the white smoke that comes out is from exhaust deposted carbon.

thanks guys! im pretty happy with it. it actually only cost me $140! all the guy did was take my stock muffler off, and weld pipes into two chrome tips. So its really loud, and less restrictve then having a muffler.

So it's a straight pipe? lol, probably could have been cheaper if all he did was take off the muffler. BUT as long as you are happy with it.

and what sounds good to you then? his idle sounds great, and its amazing considering how easy it was. even his revs dont sound bad. if the rasp starts at 4000 RPM that impressive considering he doesnt have a muffler at all.
