• Nitrous Limits?

I have a 94 3.4 Auto and am going to buy a dry nitrous kit for my camaro. All the internals are stock and I dont plan on beefing them up. If im going to use the nitrous 3 to 4 times a week during street races....how much of a shot should i set up? Im thinking 100 but that may be too much.

if you want to run anything, 75 is the best for a stock motor like yours. want more info, go watch fast n the delierous- dont blow the welds on your intake manifold with all that nawzzz-

whats this world comin to?

All I did was type "3.4L" in the search.

If you get the NOS-5157 kit, stick to the 85 jets it comes with, it comes with that size for a reason.

I don't understand most people when it comes to nitrous. Peolpe act like a 75 hit is too small or something. If you want to run more see what happens. My buddies built cobra which has basically everything done to it except a power adder, he will NOT go over a 75 shot. I wouldn't complain if all I could use was a 50 shot. It's the torque gain people should give a hell about.

If you think 75 is small think of this, most LS1 guys run a 100 shot.

I know two guys guy runing a 2 stage (300ish shot) and they have the motors built for it. ( race cars)
another has a 200 and he built the engine for it also. A 75 is not small for a stock engine

I'll let you know how big of a shot the 3.4L is capable of when I am finished with my engine in a few weeks. I will probably be starting at a 125 shot and definitely going to a 150 shot.....who knows from there?!?

100 shot was sprayed on a guy i knows car and it lasted 4 bottles before he blew the engine 75 at the most i say. and it is gonna cut down the life of the engine. 85 is cool but will put more stress

if you are gonna use it that much, don't go past 50 shot.

If you set the motor up for nitrous, like colder plugs, upgraded fuel system, and exhaust work, you could run a 75. The 3.8 comes with hyperutectic pistons stock, so there ya go :D

Well, you don't plan on beefing it up and you want to spray 3-4 times a week?

I would stick with a MAX of a 50 shot only!!

Even that could affect your engine.

Nitrous is NOT safe.

Try the search and see what you read up on

And another important thing, NOS is full of **** when it comes to the gains, 1 plus 1 is not always 2,like they think. Most likely you won't get all the hp gain advertised unles the motor is built for the nitrous. So like a 75 shot expect like 60 or so, and if the motor is modified you might get the whole 75. Nitrous is unpredictable and it is not as safe as it is said to be.

120 dry shot netted me 111 rwhp gain
I've always seen VERY close RWHP claims with NOS
