Been stare'n at my kit 4 a while since I haven't had time or anything 2 play w/it~NOS 5175~I'm gett'n ready 2 set it in tho but I have a question. In order 2 spray 100 shot I know tha saftey's... switches, guages, fuel pump...etc. but is upgraded exhaust a must? Could I get away w/an exhaust cut~Out?

you want to be able to get rid of the..air/fuel as quickly as you can take it in..if you cant do this..it WILL slow your car down..especially with a power adder such as nitrous..flow is the key..not whether is sounds or looks cool..so you can get away with a cut out..you dont actually NEED a "system"..im using NOS 5175 with cheater solenoids and id say upgrades to the flow of the intake and exhaust are a must with nitrous..others may disagree..but thats JMO

Think about this..... you are about to stuff LOTS more air into your engine.... hwo do you get it out??? Open the exhaust up.

Can you run stock exhaust, yes.

        Is it wise, nope.

Cut outs would just bypass either the muffler or the cat/ muffler.

Now a days you can pick up a brand new high flow cat for $40 and cat back for under 300.
