How do you know when your bottle is open all the way, how long do you hold the switch for to open. I relocated my bottle to the spare tire area. I will hold the opener switch for about 5 seconds, my psi gauge shows around 1100 to 1200 psi when I open it. I'm running a .055 nitrous jet a .024 fuel jet and my A/F is still around 11.5, N/A I run around 12.5 to 12.9 with 36lb injectors. Also have a VS cam. This is with 22 degrees of timing, I can feel when the nitrous hits but I wanted to know if this sounds right or not. Also how long does it take for the opener to open the bottle up. I have no problems with it closing. Thanks for any help. Steve
I just recently converted to an auto, so I'm trying to get the bugs worked out.

I have the NOS solenoid style opener. I just hit the switch and within about 3 seconds I am at full pressure.

So if I'm showing 1100 psi+ the bottle should be open all the way then? I think I'm going to open it up using the remote opener and then take the opener off and make sure, I think my opener is a dyno tune opener.

Off subject here, but what are you going to do with your old M5 parts? I want to convert! Had a 98' camaro with M5, and I can tell it would kill my 2000 A4 bird... Email me or post if you want to get rid of it. nimrod.sixty9@gmail.com

Sold all the M5 parts. Sorry, And with the transgo shift kit and servo kit put in and the doing the shift points with hptuners , I think the A4 is quicker so far , except for coming out of first gear, but nothing but swapping out my 3.42 for 3.73 won't take care of.

Thanks for replying at least. Well sounds like you have a nice setup. But to me that seems like a big investment just to get it a little faster that an M5. Wish I could aford a copy of that Hptuners. I really want an M5 because stock for stock it would be faster, and its so much more fun.

the m5 cannot stand up to the power like a built a4. So all the fast manual guys have to switch over to autos or keep rebuilding their m5 trannies all the time.

That is very true, I was afraid to run my .055 jet with my m5, because my last tranny running my powerdyne I blew 3rd gear to hell in my m5, Now with the auto running nitrous I have tuned it for the .055 jet and I think I'm going to try a .061 jet in the near future. No worries about blowing up gears like in the m5. If I had a choice though I would of just got a G force T5 like I was planning but do to other reasons I needed a automatic. But when I was tuning it for the .055 jet I ran it up to about 110mph, and I heard a loud pop, scared the crap out of me, slowed down and the car sounded horrible, loud noise coming from the passenger side area. I thought I blew my head gasket or rocker. Got underneath, and my passenger side O2 had came out of the bung hole. I guess it must have been loose or something and just blew out. I thought it was kind of funny it did that, so when I put it back in I used some med. thread locker on it. Kind of off the topic but I thought I would share since it happened a couple of days ago.
