I have a 3.4l. I used an online calculator and bought a 47 for the nitrous and a 28 for the fuel jet. This is for a 100 shot using 1100psi with 43 as the fuel pressure. Is this right? I am concerned because I had my first backfire with this larger shot. Thanks.

Re: Do I have the right jets?
NOS will work in dynotune nozzles last I heard.
NX have a different size jet that is fatter diameter

Re: Do I have the right jets?
The .028 fuel jet is too big, I think you should be around a .026 or .024. Need to either to get on a dyno or get a wideband to see what your air/fuel ratio is. The .047 will get you 85 hp at the wheels and 100 at the crank.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Originally posted by YZFERThanks for the responses. If I understand correctly, it was probably a little lean with a .028 fuel jet. Why did it backfire then? Doesn't a backfire suggest that it is too rich with fuel?
If you run lean you will burn up a piston, not backfire.
The only way to know for sure is by getting a wideband.sigpic
