if the fuel pump is older or has quite a bit of miles on it then it might not keep up with a 100 shot. Yes people have run 100 on the stock pump. Better safe than sorry though and therefore getting a pump helps run safely. But to tell someone to start out on a 100 shot is just stupid and childish.

clocking the nozzle and nozzle placement allows you to run two tunes in one if you have hptuners. You can tune your car for optimal NA running and then with correct nozzle placement and clocking you can have it run great on nitrous as well without going into the computer and uploading a new tune for nitrous. Sure it works pointing straight at the maf, never denied the fact that it wouldn't work. But if you are after the best times and optimal setup you will understand that playing with the nozzle can net you even better results and such. Don't listen to me if you don't want to, but just go read up on other sites then or ask away on ls1tech, they will tell you the same thing as me.
I don't care that you ran 7yrs with nitrous on your car. Telling someone to start out with a 100 shot is just stupid and not having the best interest of the user in mind. Some cars love the nitrous and will be fine, others will have a ton of KR with a 100 shot. Start out small and move up

I will agree that a fuel pump is a good idea for a 100 dry shot. You are playing with fire using the stock pump.
And yes, you can tune the AFR by turning the nozzle. Though, this doesnt do any good without a wideband.sigpic

100 is small. You've got your tuning all wrong as well. Mine was setup to drop timing whenever the MAF responded to the -27 degree nitrous hitting it, thus no need for seperate NA and nitrous tunes. So, what's your car run? I ran 13.3 last year thanks for asking. Not sure what that has to do with this conversation but yes I have run wet and dry kits. :tup:

The maf isn't reading that, the IAT sensor is and hptuners only allows you access to timing adjustments using the IAT tables. So yes if your spraying your nitrous over the IAT sensor you get the two tunes in one which is what I was talking about in my post about nozzle placement, thanks for confirming what I was talking about.

You can remove the IAT and still adjust the timing tables. TurboV6Camaro does that. In fact, his IAT is just chillin' on top of his throttle body lol.sigpic
