I installed my o2 simulator, but the SES light was still on, so i went to autozone like i've seen people been told so many times on here to clear it. They gave me the codes, one for the o2 sensor, and one for the IAT sensor, but don't they have historys in the computer? because my IAT should be fine. Anyway, i asked them to clear it and they said they couldn't So how do i clear it?
they can clear it. after it shows the code it askes you if u want to erase it. let the car go for a week and see if it pops back on. if so go and have them clear it and it shouldnt come back

I dont know about clearing the code but disconnect the negative terminal to reset the computer that should remove any old codes that are no longer a problem, as far as the 02 sim i have no idea but it wuldnt hurt to try reseting it
if you live in a county that has emissions testings they arent allowed to clear them. They can technically clear them, but legally they are not allowed... Usually if you talk to them for a while and just be cool with them they will do it anyways.
SES came back. thought it mighta been my speedo cuz it's acting up, but it was just my o2 sensor...which i have a sim for so..
they said they can't clear them because "for instance, on VWs, if i clear them, it erases the tune, and i have to pay for it" You guys ever heard of this? So i'm thinking i'll go back and ask if i can push the erase button so it's my fault if i screw anything up..
i know but i don't know why the code keeps coming on when i have a sensor, and there are like 4 codes and i want to see which one it's complaining about. the other one is the IAT sensor which i have a sim on too, and there are 3 repeated o2 sensor codes.
i dun know what year car u have man but i know after i had my headers installed the guy damaged my O2 sensors and i threw a code even after i had put a new one in...after about 30-40k of driving in my car it resets itself and the code goes away...same thing with this misfire im having right now...think i gotta bad coil or sumthing but my damn engine light cleared again before i had a chance to retrieve it...gotta wait for her to come back so i can diagnose it better...
i did just recently get rid of my log manifolds, but i'm pretty sure the code was exactly the same 3 times, and 2 of those codes were there before, and it was my post cat o2 sensor which i have a sim for..
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
