AND threw two more codes. i have fixed the car so it runs perfect. but light is still on and autozone still cannot read the car. any ideas on what to do? maybe switch to a 97 computer? thanks

Re: 96 Obdii
I had a similar problem. Ended up being a blown fuse on the dash. Fixed that and got my codes to get read.
Maybe just check it out. I dont remember the name it was but I think it was something with steering for some reason. It was a 25A fuse. Autozone told me to check my fuses, I did and thats when it started actually reading it
