Monsoon Sound System
Hello. I have a 99 Camaro with a Monsoon Sound System. I was playing a cd in it one day right after I got the car. I went to pick up a friend. As she got in the car, she kind of slammed the door. All the sudden the bass kicked in. Since then, I've noticed when I put in, say rap, a cd, and I slam my door, the bass kicks in. That's just like the other day I was vaccuming out my car with the radio on. Without me slamming the door, the bass suddenly kicked in. When the bass kicks in, the system sounds awesome. :dj: But usually, it's just a weak sounding bass. Do you think there is a short in the amp? Or the speakers? Where is the amp located at in the car?

no. on that model car you have to slam the passanger door to make the bass come in...
yes there is a short.:omg: try the "problem door":D

Probably a pinched wire from the sounds of it.
Remove the door panel and speaker and make sure everything is good in there.*Matt

The amp is in the back of the car, near the spare tire. You gotta remove that plastic panel, and the spare tire to get to it.
