Would upgrading from my stock shocks (2000 Firebird, Y87 W68 << don't know if those matter) to the shocks from a WS6 be worthwhile?

I found a set on ebay for $60, front and rears. They have 55k miles on them.

    i assume they are blisteins?

for $60 and 50k on them, i would buy them.. but there is really no way to tell if they will be good or not, it depends on the driving conditions the car went through

just make sure the threads on the top of the shock are in good condition, f bodies are known to have them rust and be useless, especially on the passenger side (front)

They are whatever came from the factory on WS6 TAs... I have no idea other than that.

        are they blue and yellow?

the reason i ask is because i was told that ALL v8 f bodies came with blistein shocks (the blue and yellow ones) and i even got into a fight with someone about it, because i have seen a lot of v8's with the decarbon shocks (orange)

if they are the decarbon ones, they are junk

You're correct. Not all V8 F-bodies come with Bilsteins. A friend of mine has an '01 NHRA Trans Am and even it came with stock deCarbons.

Only SLP cars got Bilstein shocks, factory got DeCarbon.
