i just put new drilled rotors and ceramic brake pads on and now i have this slight squeak when turning right and it's only on the front driver side. I read online and people seem to say it's probably the wheel bearing but before I replace I want a second opinion. i'm planning on taking the brakes apart and retightening everything to be sure it's all good but anybody had a similar problem?
thankss
i believe to check fora bad wheel bearing, with the car lifted up you can push the whole wheel in and pull it out (not left to right) if there is play the bearing is bad.
Might just be your new pads getting seated in , but def. check what theboost said and check the wheel bearings for play.Iwheel bearings up front is easy to swap if it is the problem , you can get both left and right for about $150 new and theress only 4 bolts that hold them in.

well there was a squeaking similar to it before i did the brakes but i assumed it was the brakes bc i have never changed them since i owned the car. bought car with 66k, has 93k now so figured it was time. sure enough, the pads were bad, visible grooves in rotors. Now there still is a squeal but only when the tires are right. I took the brakes off and spun the bearing and you can hear the squeal so I'm sure that's what the problem is. I couldn't imagine my new drilled rotors and ceramic pads with 500 miles on them are already bad, and to answer your questions yes, I put brake quiet on the pads when I installed the new brakes. the issue isn't when braking, just turning.
Might as well do both since they come with the speed sensors on them and 1 less thing to worry about. I got mine off ebay long time ago for $150 shipped for both.
