I want to buy new shocks for my car but I am having a hard time deciding which ones would suit me best, so I thought I would ask around.
They are for my 2001 Camaro V6, I have it lowered with the Eibach Pro Kit, currently I have the stock shocks. I want something better, so I am thinking of the Edelbrock shocks...
Are the Edelbrock good or should I look at Bilstein?
Bilsteins HD (not slp spec'd or anything, HD) shocks. thats what ill be rocking along with the prokit. Ive been in 2 cars with that set up, looks/drives awesome.
08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine
I've had Bilsteins and Edelbrocks on my car. Currently I have QA-1 double adjustables.
The Bilsteins worked pretty well for fixed-valve shocks. I used them with an Eibach spring kit which lowered the about an inch and a quarter.
I had Edelbrocks on for a short period but took them off when I found the front Edelbrocks didn't work on a car which was lowered because they lack adequate travel. I should add that two months ago Edelbrock sold its suspension business. QA1 bought all of it except the shock absorber line. I don't know who or what bought the shock absorber part of the business.
I dont know if they are that much better, I chose AGX's because of the adjustable side of it. Meaning that I just got stranos and set all my shocks on 8

Around 2 minutes is when the cool stuff starts happening. LG knows his sh*t about suspension.
I don't see why this video keeps popping up. We are talking about a budget V6, not a no holds barred vette. Of course if you spend a crap ton on your coil overs you're going to get the best performance...

Bilstein's products are quality. They don't offer a "budget" piece. However, their lowest price shock is marginally more expensive than the AGX's and Edelbrock's. I loved the Bilstein's on my TBSS.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
