• drop springs bad for launching??

hey guys,
ive really ben wanting to get some h&r sport springs to get rid of some of my fenderwell gap . but i was talkin with a friend who said it would kinda negate the rear suspension parts i bought (trailing arms & panhard). his theory makes sense : since the car is lowered the rear will have less shock travel on launch, which is important, and will be MORE likely to spin. but heres my possible counterpoint: is it the springs or the shocks that controll the travel more in that situation, for example: stiffer whocks would be more detrimental to launching than stiffer/lower springs.

give your opinions please.

The shocks slow the rate at which the springs compress/expand. Stiffer springs would prob hurt you more than stiff shocks. For optimal drag racing you'd want to keep your v6 springs, a lot of v8 guys use our springs. But it depends on what your ultimate plan is either drag racing or autocross. Or streetabitlity.

what is my plan... good question  it started out as appearance (+1 for springs) then went hard toward drag racing (-2 for springs), now this summer i want to get into autocross (+1 for springs), buat the car is also a daily driver and is driven winters.
