Hey ive been looking at some drop springs and a few i found say that they will work for all 4th gens execpt covertibles... what is the difference between the verts springs and non-vert springs?

I own a vert and I've never heared of their being a differnce. Everying is the same with how the are installed so I don't see how they could be any different. Now SFC's and a DS loop have to be different than non verts and your K-member is slightly different with some added bracing.

      Re: Convertible Springs

Well from what i found out on another forum and from the manufacturer is that verts are heavier in the back due to extra bracing... almost 200lbs heavier... therefore the back springs need to be beefier... so if the drop springs are made for a normal car i guess it wont sit level... with the back being lower....

T-punk is ur vert dropped? if so, what did u go with?

        Re: Convertible Springs

200lbs isn't a huge difference. If you are really worried you can go with the ground control kit for about 450 and have a full coil over setup. I have not dropped mine yet, I have setup coming soon. If you want to get all the info on the subject you ever wanted you can email sam strano at stranoparts.com . He knows everything there is to know about F-body suspensions. If you do go for him for help though, buy from him. It's not right for him to help you and then you go somewhere else to buy your stuff. His prices are typically the same as everyone else anyway.
