My PS pump whines when I turn the wheel. Power Steering is gone. I've heard that a Z28 Steering rack will give me a tighter ratio (spin the wheel less rotations).
I want to do the swap but have heard that other parts need to be replaced if going with an LS1 steering rack.
I guess the LS1s had a change in the way the steering linkage.
Should I get the rack for an LT1 car?
Kind of confused on fittment, but my car is a 99 and i do not have the Y87 package. I'd love to upgrade the steering since i have to replace these parts anyways.
