  • No one has a 98+ Bird?

I am looking for a 98+ Firebird with ttops and T5. I dont care if it is missing a motor, needs mechanical work, etc. After seeing the 96 Maro with the L67 swap, I want my m90 on NOW.

You do know that a lot of money, time, and work went into getting that car running right? If you want to go through that much work get kenny bell or a whipple and try to get that in there instead. It would be a lot better from a power standpoint. Good luck with whatever you decide to do though.

For the cost of the KB or Whipple, I can have my car running with the m90.....cam'd. I also might like to add that I have the Holden m90, which only cost 275 with LIM. I have a TB adaptor being being for the Aussie elbow to an L67 stock TB. The only other problem I foresee is the coolant elbow, which I could probably have an adaptor made for that also.

All of my expenses and reciepts are being marked. You guys make it sound like its going to cost a ****load of cash. It will cost a ****load of cash if you have no idea what you are doing or you have a shop do it for you.

      Bring on the negativity.;)

Also I would like to add that going with a KB or Whipple will yield better results, but I want to see where the m90 maxes out at on a RWD car.

Ahh, well you should have mentioned that you had the Ausie M90. Those are very hard to come by so good job there. You will also need to relocate the coil packs to get the intake back to the M90 since it comes out to the drivers side. The EGR might be a proble but you can always delete that. The only other thing besides the coolant elbow that could require a mild change in location is the power steering resivoir. Trust me there will still be a lot of work but you got rid of a lot of it by getting the ausie blower. You have any pics of that thing? There aren't a ton of pics of those floating around.

Those drawbacks arent that great of problem for me. Im sure I can figure something out to solve them, I still have my beater. Here are a few pics (not great) from when I got it last year.

Looks pretty slick. You may still have some firewall iterference but I think you will be able to do this with a lot less headache than merlin had. I would guess it would take a month of on and off work to get this done. I'm guessing you have an L67 to swap in or at least know you have to have L67 heads and the such. Good luck finding the car and keep us updated.

I am well aware of Autotrader. What AT fails to give me is results for cars without motors or damaged motors. Im not going to rip apart a $10K-$15K car when I can do the same to one for 2k/3k.

Or just take a decent one with some miles that still runs. $4500 bucks there, and you can prolly talk them down some.

That engine looks clean as hell. Wish my 98 was that shinny.

Yeah, that'd be a nice clean car to start with too.

Cheap, meets most of your criteria, and it's like 11 miles from 92375.
