Well the wife and I decided to pull the LS6 from the RS and put the 3.8 back in with a s/c or turbo (still undecided on which). We want the car to have the orginal engine again, but with the power. The LS6 will be going into the father-in-laws old Suburban he asked if could use it since he wants some power for off roading. We are going to be take pics when we pull the enigne and put the old old back in with all the mods. Look for those in the advanced tech sec. This weekend we are gonig to try and get some good pics on the engine bay, if its not snowing.
Soon I will feel more at home here with a V6 again.
Ya I guess it is a first. One the wife and I move to our new base we will be purchasing our another corvette. Looking for a yellow 02-04 convert vette. With the vettes, the Z28, El Camino, and the Hayabusa we will have plenty of things that make power and can go fast, but we want something reliable. And since the best engines I have ever owned was the GM 231, why not put it back in.
wow man... i mean, thats just plain either dedication and love for v-6's, or crazy talk... gotta say that im still up in the air on which way.. lol.. but damn, that is a hell of a nice car lineup..
good luck with the swap!

I have already gone through the process of pulling the v6 and putting the v8 in. Wasn't that bad the first time so its should be that hard to put the 6 back in. Besides I still have everything for the 6 so should go pretty smooth.
I have never worked with a turbo before on anything, so I am leaning twards the S/C. Still I dont know what we will do.
ls6 for offroading...??? no powa till 4k says me....I know...me have one.
Well it is going to be a big upgrade for him since his suburban is a 86 or 87 with a 350 with only like maybe 300 hp. He had been asking for the engine for a while but I always know I could get it back if I wanted to.
Wow some of you on here dont like to hear about someone pulling a V8 for a V6. Sorry I should of said anything.:( Its not like I am taking a SS and putting a 6 into it. She is just going back to the way she was. Besides with all of our cars the RS and Z28 will turn into the DD. And I will pull all of the nitrous of the Z28 and put it into the new vette.

the only diffe is the turbo is tapping the oil witch you have to do for high end SC anyway...... you bolt up the exuast pipes and turbo and instake and IC, the FMU if your not getting injecotrs and go
