    Yup, cut outs can be located where ever you want in your exhaust piping.
    Mine is just before the exhaust goes over the rear.
    So far MY car seems to need back pressure.
    I am still learning though

      I can gurantee my car needs backpressure too... I have tried many times without it, and just ended up in the 16s.

        It all depends on the setup.

        If you made your car a high revver and more effecient in the upper RPM's it might perform better without back pressure.

        A high revvign more effecient car with less back pressure will make more power though than a lower revving lower effecient more back pressure car.

        RPM really is power.
