Hey Pontiac Nino,

I would consider building you one for $50+shipping. The most I could do is assemble it, calk it, and paint it black. You could add stuffing inside if you wanted and carpet the front.

I just drilled a hole in the side of mine to run the speaker wire out. I didn't purchase the fancy terminals.

And last but not least, you'd have to understand that I'm no expert on building speaker boxes, the box will definetly not be perfect, and it may not be a perfect / flush fit in your rear well.

    Do you have T-tops?

      Hey ianwells100,

No particular reason for using particle board, other than it was really cheap. I lot of my buddies said that they used particle board for their boxes they built for their cars and trucks. I'm not really familiar with MDF.

I just put the box in my car this morning so I can't take anymore pics of the backside, but I'll take some pics of it installed in my car later this week. I ordered an amp kit that won't be in until this coming friday, so it's gonna be a while before I know how it sounds.

No T-tops on mine, and you have yourself a customer now, you can paint it black but don't worry about drilling a hole for the speaker wire I'll take care of that. If you can shape the box as good as yours came out i'll take it.

do you know what interior volume your bow has? if you took your sub out you could measure the interior dimensions. It's almost imposible to find a 10" sub for an encloser smaller than .5 cubic inches.

My box barely hits the .5, but it's kinda hard to measure the volume since it has so many angles on it. I think it may be closer to .6 in^3

You could easily sell them for 20bucks a pop.

                Sorry megabass.
                </font>
No sweat because from the pics I would put money on it that this design won't fit like a stealthbox should fit. I'm quite familiar with that space and I just can't see it going in there very well. I could be wrong, but I would have to see one installed first.

I will say that the work looks very nice  . I also noticed that some of the wood is not 3/4" as stated from the material list given. I work with wood all day long and I can tell from the seams in the last pic that at least the top and the rear panels are not as thick as the 3/4" baffle. No biggie. Just an observation.

Anybody who's going to build a box that takes 10 hours to build and only collect 50 bux total--including shipping (and packaging)--probably has already realized on the very first one that for their time spent, they are going to work themselves to death and not make anything. Materials and labor are two separate things. Nobody wants to work a 40hr week and make ($1.10/hr)

Like stated, if you have the extra time, it's a nice little project you can do to say you did it and save a little cash to boot. I'm all for the do-it-yourselfer. I happen to be one. Bottom line, you have to justify your time.

                  Hey Megabass,

The wood is 3/4". I put two pieces on top of each other in order to get the required depth for my Audiobahn sub. So you're right, it is not 3/4" on the front. And the other thing is, I calked all of the seems around the outside (may not have been the best calking job) however, that may be why it is throwing you off.

And as for the request to build one for pontiac nino...I said "$50+shipping" and I already have a good paying job, so I'm not trying to start up a stealth box business or anything. The first time always takes the longest. It's not just building the box...it's making the plans, design and adjustments to make it work. Once you have the first one, it's easy going from there.

As a matter of fact, I've already built another box, and it only took 3hours max. $50/3hrs = $16.67/hr. using left over wood. I basically did this as a favor to use up my left over wood.

No need to knock my work..

Now I see why you sound bitter, you are from Subthump.com. I almost bought a box from you guys but figured I could make one myself. Don't worry man, I'm not trying to steal your business, just trying to help out the guys out there that don't have the cash to throw around for speaker boxes.

P.S. I'll post pics of it installed, it looks just as good as the boxes you have for sale.

that's funny that megabass was talking sh!t about 3/4" wood, b/c his stealthboxes don't even use 3/4" wood for more than half his box.

I'm not knocking your work at all and I'm not bitter. Sorry if you got that impression. If you want to build them, that doesn't bother me in the least.

If any of you guys need a 10" amplified bazooka bass tube, let me know. Since I have my stealth box, I won't be needing it anymore.
