Gvw is the weight of the car plus maximum passenger and cargo load capacity as stated by the manufacturer.

Curb weight from the specs listed on this site say 3340lb. Gross weight from the door sticker on my '02 Firebird 3800/T5 is 4101lb. Gross weight is the MAXIMUM "safe-to-drive" weight specified by the manufacturer including a driver, a full tank a gas, and however many passengers or cargo you can stuff in the car. Curb weight is just the car minus driver, passengers, cargo, and fuel.
