I need help guys :( Car still stalls out even after flushing the coolant recently and getting all the brown gunky looking stuff out. Replaced it with dexcool and it drove fine for a little over 50 miles. Bt on the way home at a stop sign, i gave it some gas, made it through the intersection and it stalled out and coasted to the side. Started it right back up again but it turned off once it got started. I waited a good five minutes and it started fine and made its way back home. What could be the problem? I know it has got to be a fuel problem since it brings up the check gauges light, which in effect could be an out of gas signal? Any ideas guys? I am calling up a few dealerships tomorrow looking for a nother bird if I can't get this fixed. Its been months and still after $300 trying to fix it, no luck. Please throw at me any advice you may have.

No store around her carries a fuel pressure gauge able to reach 60-100 psi. I had my car friend over and he couldn't even find the schrader valve. He was in the car with me when it stalled out and told me it has got to be fuel related. What could be going bad?

I called the dealer today and they were very rude. I asked if they had any specific tests they could run that were fuel related. Here is what they told me...

$170 for about 2 hours of work, checking the following:

        1. Gas system
        2. Spark System
        3. EGR
        4. Vaccum

Is any of that relavant to my problem? Seems like a waste of money to me. Can anyone help me out at all? I am losing my faith in birds and might cross over to a stang :(

Yea...the car stalled once before I got the fuel filter which is why I took it to jiffy lube to get it changed. I paid $120 for new oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and a fuel system additive. But after taking it there, the problem with stalling kept arising.

I don't know what to tell ya dude..I don't know your fuel pressure. Is you pump running for a while then crapping out due to a resistance problem? Is you pump just weak? how do your coils look? any corrosion? pull the coil packs off the plate, and check that for corrosion. As for you fuel pressure gauge..If you buddies dad (a snap-on guy) can't find you a fuel gauge...need I say more?

I am about to pick it up from the mechanic and go sell it. The fuel pressure is 42psi when running and 48psi with the engine off. He says he can find nothing wrong with teh car but yet it stalls out.
