I got all the parts from radio shack and plan to do this sometime tonight or tommorrow, just one question. If I don't tap into the orange wire from the cig. lighter, then will the switch still turn the fans off when the engine is off/key is out? Seems to me it wouldn't, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
    Thanks

Yes it will. Tapping in to the cig lighter is just for the LED's. I thought the same thing as you then found out i was wrong by accident. For the fans to turn on all that must happen is the dark green or dark blue wire must be grounded, there's no power supply needed. If you have any questions about the install feel free to email me, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

I'll be darned you're right. Thanks alot though man, I just finished up and didn't have a problem, great instructions Everything was identical to a camaro. Lot better deal than SLP. I did end up mounting it in the bottom of the ash tray without a problem, but I have quite a bit more clearence than an automatic.

Its great for the track mainly, sitting in long staging lines. Its a good way to keep the engine a bit cooler.

Anyways I would post some pics but its not much to see, just a tiny black switch in the bottom of the ashtrey for mine. I didn't bother with the LEDs.

Can you have this on just regularly once in awhile too? Cause I was just out, and its decently hot here in PA today, and i had NO power!! Im like WTF is this a 4 banger, and I look down and im like near 200degrees!!!! Im like WTF, put the heater on full blast, started shootin heat outta the vents to the windows to cool it and barely got me threw it.

So I may install a switch too to cool down my engine just for regular stuff. My car isnt even old, '98 with 36k miles taken care of nicely, it had to of been the heat! Plus I had only like 25% gas in it too so it was little bit lighter im guessin.

i am really and truly horrible at doing stuff like this, i always wind up breaking something... hence is there any specific place you can take your car to get this done? i mean nothing too expensive so not a dealer or anything like that but will just a regular mechanic do it?

A mechanic will probably do it if you pay them enough, but I urge you to try it yourself. Its not hard at all and there isn't much to mess up, get a friend to help if you are worried.

Here's a fix for the SES light. You just need three more resistors!

edit: I've been running it with this fix for nearly a year, and no more SES light!
