I drive my car really hard, no emphasis on gas milegae but haing fun in car and get 18-22 mpg, last road trip I took cruising at speeds of about 105 for about 45 min. straight I got about 26 mpg.

      BTw I ahve 3.42s with a 5-speed.

guys with bad mileage, when was the last tiem you checked your coils, and changed plus and wires. Same with o2s?

I got 11mpg highway with 3.23s, loss of .2 in the 1/4 all do to bad o2s.

High miles sometimes doesn't effect gas milage. I have 113000 on my camaro and like i said eariler am getting 26mpg. Never have changed the O2's.

I changed O2s at around 50k and my mileage stayed the same (around 200 miles per tank). Now at 54k, and a rebuild with everything listed below, I thought it would seriously drop but it improved to about 215 a tank. Most of my driving is city but in the rare event that I take a long interstate trip, I usually get over 300 miles per tank!

My 95 gets about 250 to a tank.... Any other recommendations for better fuel economy? What is replacing the o2's going to cost me if I do it myself?

Damn thats some pretty good mileage.

I usually fill up at around 250 miles. But i actually calculated it a couple times and i usually get about 21-25 mpg depending on the kind of driving i go through. Its been as low as ~18-19 and as high as 27 on all highway.

edit: I'd say you're mileage is about average for our cars.

                        ('94 3.4L M5 Camaro)

I usually get about 220-240 miles per tank, and end up with like 14-16 mpg around town. When I drive ono the highway, I get up to around 24-25 mpg tops.

I usually drive it a little hard, but lately I have toned it down a lot, and no change in mileage. :( I use 87 octane BTW.

I get around 180-200 miles per tank all stop and go "city" driving. I dont know what the hell is wrong with my car but in the last 3000 miles or so I have changed plugs/wires, O2 sensors and the fuel filter and have not seen any increase in gas milage. Anyone have any suggestions?

Mine varies, I personally think that it has something to do with the EGR valve or something like that. Everything else is new so its the last part. I just don't have the time, money or energy to change/replace it. My MPG has been eradict and random for a while now. Anyone with any ideas? Fuel filter, spark plugs/wires, O2 sensors, exhaust system, Fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors, coolant system, pullies, belt, etc have all been change within the past two years due to my choice because I have one occasion taken long trips and I don't need/want anything to go wrong with my car. I take great car of my car so I don't know at this point the only thing left is the EGR valve. Any ideas, confirmations, etc? Thanks in advance.
