Get a new, less restrictive exhaust.

Also, an SLP CAI or the K&N FIPK. If you dont have limited slip, get it also. About $100 on www.slponline.com Called Zexel Torsen.

Check you RPO option codes(in dash)... see if you have... GU6 (3.42s) and G80(Factory LSD)

But like said intake and exhaust and learn to drive the beyotch... To me it seems kinda wussy, below 3,000 rpms...

Don't our cars already have posi? I am pretty sure that if I were to do a brake stand both tires would spin

only if it has y87 does it have LSD
This is what I did first...
I got whisper lid...then CAI and then worked on my exhaust. Its up to you though. The whisper lid gives a good gain as a first mod (I sure noticed the difference)

Hey welcome to the board, I will agree exhaust and intake is usually a popular first mod. And if you dont have LSD get it! The slp take off is fairly cheap compaired to some other limited slip diffs you will find. The LSD is really easy to intall too. I put mine in a few weeks ago and it was much easier then expected. I live in Tucson, if you get the LSD and want help with it let me know. I think Ft. Hauchuca is like 45 miles away right?

yea dude, I just did a brake stand and both tires spun. I dont have an RS so I don't have the Y87 package. Maybe sometime I can jack up the rear end and look at the differential. It will say "Use posi lube" on the differential cover if it is posi right?

nope, it will look just like a normal rear end covor, all rusted up and stuff. But while its up if you want to change the rear end fluid, while the covor is off you will be able to tell if if its an open diff really easily

AZv6Camaro, yea it is like 45 minutes, I think i am going to order the LSD this week, I had to send my bird back in to get a new starter, the ignition and starter where going bad, so they replaced it. I will get some pictures soon and share my new baby with all of you, my mom has a 2000 Conv firebird Y87, i will post a pic of both

and now for the other question, what is a CAI? I am stupid, but like i siad earlier i am used to the 302 mustang.
