I was wondering how you guys can tell anything about the reported hp of this car. Anything pushing that much hp would have to have extensive internal work done. Pictures would not show much. The boys at CART have no problem getting 800hp out of their engines. Even some 4 bangers can get that much. Why can't a 4.3 get over 400hp?

Thing is it woudl take at least the knowledge of knowing a 5.2L v8 was never in a 4th gen f-body to know that.
And what corvette had a 4.3L? I don't know much about the orignal vettes but I know they came with v6s was it a 4.3L? I don't thik it is...Comment

Corvettes never came with a V6... the came with an inline 6 in their first years.
1953 had I6
1954 had I6
1955 had an option for I6 or V8

Silly people. They were testing the 4.3L engine in a corvette pace car =) Its still prolly bull**** but thats what they said never did she imply it was a stock vette or fbody engine.

I just wish I had 4 speed rated tires. I didnt know tires came speed rated these days. :D
