Do the STBs for the v8's fit the v6's also? Or are there clearance issues?

    Re: STB for v6

i think some of the v8 ones might have a issue fitting (alternator possibly?), i think mine said it would fit v6 and everything but certain years of the SS. it's been a while so don't quote me on that haha.

any particular one you're looking at? I got mine from lmperformance.com for pretty cheap and slapped it on.

You want the one for the SS (LT1) and V6 engines. If you get the LS1 or LT1 bars, they will not clear the intake manifold/TB assembly.

hotchkis bar fits v8 and v6, looks the best too IMO....but very pricey.

I happened to find one on tech for dirt cheap because they guy botched a paint job. Maybe keep an eye out there.

The Hotchkis bar is a 3-piece bar. You'd be better off with a 1-piece. How much are you wanting to spend? I have my LG Motorsports one for sale in the FS Section for $50 + shipping. It is a 1-piece, 3-point brace. I really liked it and could tell a big difference when installed.

is there any modification needed for that 3 point. Dont really want to pay more than 50 but i guess thats what is going to end up happening.

                    Re: STB for v6

The only thing needed for the 3-point is that you drill 2 holes in the metal on the upper cowl. That is where the third point is. It is not tough to install. If you really didn't want to drill your cowl, I don't suppose you'd have to.

Sorry, but the Hotchkis strut tower brace p/n 2006 is the only STB that is correctly designed. The ends need to pivot.

Yes , your is pretty nice Robert, I remember you showing me why the Hotchkis is better design, if I ever do get another STB it will be the Hotchkis STB.
