NO!!!!!
      It hurts us...yes, it hurts us..nasty hobbits's.

I hope you can get the car out of that tow lot soon. those places screw you for tons of money.

That is just as you described. very disturbing. I think the airbags did help out on that one.
i guess you really need to get under there and look at the frame. if the frame is toast....

I'm assuming that it's paid off since you don't have full coverage. Look at it as a blessing in disguise. Now you have a parts car. Find another 3.8, rebuild the motor in your wrecked car for boost, H/C swap and when it's done, drop it in your new 3.8. Or upgrade to an LS1, and supercharge that beast :D

the frame isnt bent but only a tiny little bit on the corner.. but its not bad at all.. but the wheel well is. the guy said my strut bar stopped it from getting worse than it was, and further back. he measured it up a few different angles and said it was pushed in about 4-5 inches on the passenger side. he said my best bet is to buy the front clip of a camaro and just swap everything body/frame wise and then buy a new dashboard etc. it would be very expensive. my only other option is to buy another camaro and swap all my mods over *the only mod that got hurt was my intake*, either that or buy a camaro with a blown engine, and swap the engine, tranny, mods, etc into the new camaro.

either way i want to still have a 3.8 v6 fbody 98+. i just have to search around and see what way is best. any suggestions will help a lot. thanks.

                  So, Moderator, you reading this?

                  This guy doesn't even have a v6.

Honestly, moderator(s), consider what this dude just wrote, especially his parting comment. We all read DMW's story and feel bad for him and he came right out and said it was his fault.
DMW is a good guy and has been here a very long time. This forum at times promotes a feeling of family and team work between its members and to read the comment by TMGSIX is just plain horrible.

Maybe he thinks he is being funny. This is not exactly a funny situation nor is there any need or desire from any of us to poke fun at or make fun of or mock the situation that DMW is in right now.

Maybe ban me for what I am about to say.

TMGSIX, you can Fu** right off and eat my SH** you FU**ING piece of SH**!
DMW is OUR friend. Do you know what that means? I bet you don't.

                  </font>
I have no sympathy for anyone who runs a red light, especially someone who is fully aware of it and decides that he is going to coast up to it because he expects it to turn green. He stated himself that he was probably doing 40 mph, so there was obviously no attempt to slow down until it was far too late. You can attack me all you want for stating my opinion on the matter on a public forum which I have been a member of for a hell of alot longer than you, but that doesnt change the fact that this guy could have just destroyed someones life. A car is not just a hobby or a toy, and driving is not a guaranteed right. He came on here looking for sympathy when he deserves none. He made his actions out to be no big deal and that he must have just not been "paying attention" and even blaming the traffic light pattern. As I already stated, I am glad the dude is okay and he should be very thankful that his car is the only thing that was ruined.

he didnt come on here looking for sympathy ***hole. he got in an accident, he told us. im sure he didnt want/wasnt looking for sympathy in anyway at all. im not gonna keep going, i like this site, for the most part.

david, honestly, IMO the car is totalled, im pretty sure. cant really tell much by the pics, is the radiation system ok? what about the bumper renforcement bar? its fix-able i can tell you that much, but it'd be about 3+ grand i think, painted and ready to go. did you notice any damage by the strut brace, like toward the fender more( left side of the engine bay, that wall type thingy ) keep us updated.

However, nowhere in his post did I get the feeling that he had any remorse for the magnitude of his actions or what hell he just caused another person and their family. His biggest concern was his car, not the innocent people involved. My family lost a loved one due to a red light runner, so to see someone dismissing his actions b/c he wasn't paying enough attention is a little concerning to me. I will not post anymore in this thread and honestly do hope everything turns out well, but more importantly I hope he can get past his car and look at the bigger picture.
