No, I kinda flared the line 2-3 times without putting the fitting on like an idiot, so its a real tight fit...so inorder to make it work I unscrewed the "in" part of the line lock and put the fitting in nice and tight, then screwed that "in" fitting back onto the line lock, and it's tight, but like the bottom is all of a sudden loose, and it looks like the body is sperated and in two pieces kinda...almost as if the casing has come apart, I dunno, it's weird.

I did have to get an adapter for the prop valve...my rear brake line was not 3/16ths, and all of the fittings provided were for 3/16ths lines...so that was a pain....the f'n apexi SS brake lines take a bubble fitting, not the double flare that we have, so Ive run all new brake lines in the front as a result...I cant even get a double flare to work, so I've been doing all single flares... (which I think is ok, because the angle is still the same, just I hear singles are a little more fragile, but my rears were flared single, and they've been fine....

My "two hour job" has turned into tommorrow being the 3rd day

OH, and while I was reefing on the slider pins trying to get it out of the caliper with the hammer...I took my eye off the caliper for one second, and absolutly demolished my knee instead.....awesome, it felt wonderful lol...

Damm, I think I'll install the line lock and be done. LOL Hope you can figure out your problems. I was looking at Herrons setup might be worth the money or just a reg. GM porp. valve Disc. to disc , because mine was drums on the rear before I did the disc swap.

the wilwood is fine...I dunno if the stock rear lines are 3/16...I busted mine in the summer and put I think 1/4 back there....thats where my problem came from...but I just got a reducer and thats fine...that was the easy part...its just running new lines and flaring that is a PITA...especially because I ran all the lines, then realized I needed a bubble flare on the end ...and the stupid bubble flare thing I rented sucks, so I went out and bought new line again with bubble flared ends...ran them, cut off the other side, and am single flaring them to fit the other fittings I have.

The line lock is basically a standard solenoid, so it has a cover that can come off. Usually there's a nut of some sort on the top of it that you can tighten to hold the casing in place (like a nitrous solenoid).

^ I did the above and it did fix it...I got a whole new problem though...poured brake fluid in and the F'n piece that goes into the line lock leaks...actually for some reason, it does not matter what fitting I put into the piece, I get a leak from the fitting...Ive replaced the line 3 times now, and used I think 5-6 different fittings to no avail...Im out of ideas, other then maybe just bypassing the Line lock and saying F it.

Im going to the store tommorrow morning to see if I can get another "in" piece that maybe will be more compatible with the fittings.

One thing I did notice was that when I tightened the fitting all the way down I was able to still move the brake line up and down in the fitting, and I am sure that is why it is leaking...but I can't for the life of my get anything to work.

Here is a picture of the piece the fitting goes into (big silver one)...I dunno, do you guys have any ideas?

Re: ABS delete and Line lock

You need an adapter fitting there. 1/8" NPT to inverted flare for whatever size brake line you're using. Put some thread sealer on the NPT threads.

also, from what I have googled, is that silver thing not an NPT fitting?

Re: ABS delete and Line lock

The big silver part on the top of the line lock is a NPT fitting. The flare fitting on the brake line will not seal to NPT threads, so you need an adapter. I'm not sure of the size of your brake line, but the fitting needs to match the brake line size. I'll dig around my tool box and see if I can find something to take a picture of for you.

Re: ABS delete and Line lock

Here are a couple of pictures of the fitting by itself and in a B&M line lock solenoid (looks similar to your Jegs unit). If your solenoid is like mine, then you'll need a similar adapter on the outlet as well. You should be able to find them at a NAPA or other auto parts store.
